Project Gratitude: How Small Acts of Thanks Built Big Community Impact

ExamOne, a medical‑information services company and Quest Diagnostics subsidiary, created a “Project Gratitude” initiative to support community nonprofits.  Through its QuestCares volunteer committee, employees donate time and funds to organizations such as Special Olympics, the Ubuntu Foundation, Fight Colorectal Cancer, AIDS Walk, the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, local food banks and the Salvation Army .  The program reinforces that giving back is part of the company’s identity.  Leadership participates alongside employees, and the initiative is celebrated internally and on social media to inspire others.

“It’s inspiring to see our employees support so many worthy causes; their contributions, whether large or small, create a huge impact. Team members describe volunteer days as some of the most meaningful experiences of their careers, fostering camaraderie and pride."

The gratitude flows both ways.  By empowering employees to support causes they care about, ExamOne nurtures a culture of compassion and strengthens its employer brand.  Community partners benefit from volunteer hours and donations, while ExamOne builds relationships with local organizations that enhance its reputation.  Investing in community gratitude drives employee engagement and fulfills the company’s purpose, demonstrating that corporate success can go hand‑in‑hand with social impact.
